MSP Fieldglass implementation for a leading telecommunications company

Our client is a leading telecommunications company’s Shared Services Division with a full service and multi-function centre with 8000+ people across different locations in India.

In 2017, the client was struggling to manage its 28 vendors and was looking for help to manage these vendor relationships effectively and bring cost efficiencies.

In September 2017, Quess established itself as the client’s Master Service Provider to address their key areas of concern.

Methodology

Phased MSP model with SAP Fieldglass streamlined 28-vendor operations and ensures full adoption

Quess introduced a streamlined operations model to manage the 28 vendors as sub-vendors and included digital tools, quality management, and process optimizations to help address inefficiencies in the client’s existing practices.

Quess worked with the client to recommend and identify the optimal tool for the client’s needs, reviewing multiple solutions before choosing SAP Fieldglass as the VMS/HRMS. The Fieldglass implementation was executed in three stages:

  • Transitions: The transition stage was used for requirement gathering, documentation of SOPs, and preparing the implementation plan.
  • Implementation: This was a phased implementation consisting of a focus on tool implementation and configuration and client, candidate, and vendor tool training to enable adoption and initiation of activities in scope.
  • Optimization: Once operations have stabilized, the next step is the optimization of efforts to enable savings and other efficiencies.

The tool has been operational for 2+ years and is a key enabler in meeting client expectations and SLAs.

Value Proposition

Right-first-time SAP Fieldglass implementation delivered 100% SLA compliance and operational savings

Seamless implementation, transition, and operations on new SAP Fieldglass platform. Process streamlining and subsequent process and cost efficiencies have been at the core of Quess’ value proposition to the client. 100% SLA compliance and iterative progressive savings and efficiencies have helped retain the client, now in its third year with Quess.
  • Quess was able to provide quicker and more effective implementations, having the expertise to get it right the first time, thereby avoiding common pitfalls and steering towards solutions that have worked well elsewhere. This resulted in less trial and error failures, cost overruns, and poor solutions.
  • Quess maintained performance stability ensuring that requirements were met during both lean and peak periods.
The tool has been operational for 2+ years and is a key enabler in meeting client expectations and SLAs.
Highlights from 2 years of operations:

2,200+ users trained, 50,000+ change requests processed within TAT, full adoption at scale
